Privacy Guardian – Complete User Guide

Privacy Guardian helps you understand what apps on your phone are doing.

• What permissions apps use (camera, microphone, location, etc.)
• If apps include trackers
• Which apps might be high risk
• When apps use your camera, mic, or location
• How to lock apps and protect your privacy

Think of it like a security dashboard for your phone.

1. Open the app → Dashboard

You’ll see:

• Total apps
• High risk apps
• Privacy score
2. Tap Scan Installed Apps

The app will:

• Check all apps on your phone
• Analyze permissions and trackers
• Calculate a risk score

⏳ Wait until the scan finishes.

3. Tap View Full App List
4. Tap any app

You’ll see:

• Permissions
• Risk levels
• Trackers
5. (Optional) Open Ghost Mode for more control

• SAFE – Very few risky permissions
• MODERATE – Some sensitive permissions
• HIGH RISK – Many sensitive permissions

High risk does NOT mean bad — it means more access to your data.

Look for sensitive permissions:

• 📷 Camera
• 🎤 Microphone
• 📍 Location
• 👤 Contacts
• 💬 SMS

More sensitive permissions = more privacy exposure.

Trackers:

• Ads
• Analytics
• User behavior tracking

What to do:

• Remove permissions if needed
• Uninstall suspicious apps

Shows recent use of:

• Camera
• Microphone
• Location

Helps answer:

• “Did something use my mic?”
• “Why was location used?”

Setup:

1. Tap Enable Usage Access
2. Find Privacy Guardian
3. Turn it ON
4. Return to app

Ghost Mode is your privacy control center.

Turn ON:

1. Open Ghost Mode
2. Toggle ON

If it fails:

Enable Accessibility Service

Enable App Lock Service:

1. Tap Enable App Lock Service
2. Find Privacy Guardian
3. Turn ON

This allows app locking.

Select apps to lock:

• Social media
• Messages
• Banking apps

When opened → app is blocked.

• Camera protection
• Microphone protection
• Location protection
• Bluetooth protection
• Notifications
• Background restriction

These do NOT disable hardware — they help manage control.

Recommended:

• Turn ON camera, mic, location, bluetooth
• Optional: notifications, background

Reduces interruptions.

1. Tap Enable Notification Privacy Mode
2. Grant access

Quick access to settings:

• Turn OFF location when not needed
• Turn OFF bluetooth when not needed

Score from 0–100

Higher = better

Based on apps, permissions, and risk

• Check dashboard daily
• Scan after installing apps
• Review high-risk apps
• Use Ghost Mode when needed

CAN:

• Scan apps
• Analyze permissions
• Detect trackers
• Monitor sensors
• Lock apps

CANNOT:

• Disable camera globally
• Disable microphone globally
• Override Android security

Works with Android, not against it.

• Not all high-risk apps are bad
• Review permissions regularly
• Use Ghost Mode for stronger privacy
